Founded in 2021, Zouk Life is the vision of a dedicated group of Sydney dancers who saw an opportunity to make Brazilian Zouk more fun, vibrant and creative.

And we've more than delivered on that vision: hosting parties, classes, special workshops, weekenders and festivals with the most creative international artists in the world.

Zouk Life is more than a dance school: it's the idea that life is special, everyone can be an artist, and we should celebrate our undeniable creativity together.

THIS is how we see social dancing: as conversation through dance.

People come together to create something more exciting, dynamic and fun than they could alone.

THAT is what we teach.  

With us, you won't experience traditional "leaders command" and "follows listen"-style partner dancing.

And honestly, you won't learn the patterns you see most Zouk dancers doing.

We're not for everyone.

We teach how to have dances that get you smiling and keep you laughing.

We know what brings you to partner dancing is the desire to have more fun, to express yourself creatively, and to meet awesome like-minded people.

We create a space where you can do that.     

And if credentials matter, we have those too:

➡️ 10+ years teaching adult learners
➡️ Research-backed teaching methods designed to make content stick (BSc, Psych; Columbia LLM, pedagogy)
➡️ Awards in partner and solo styles, since childhood, including 4x back-to-back Zouk Council podium finishes
➡️ Leading Zouk Life in 2025-2026, including organising two editions of MAYHem and Sanctuary Dance Festival

Bringing relentless positivity, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking, Pinar is the driving force behind all that you experience as Zouk Life.

Dev

Dev is your friendly neighbourhood vibe curator.

Known for bringing the best music and an impeccable ear for sound, Dev doesn’t just play tracks; he shapes the atmosphere. From volume to energy, every detail is intentional.

As a dance teacher, Dev loves inspiring leads to express themselves and develop their unique style. His classes are where laughter lives, nerves dissolve, and the vibe just works.

Ana

Dancing and competing in multiple styles since age 5, what matters most to Ana is helping you feel confident and free in your own movement.

With 8+ years of teaching, Ana understands the best way to grow is through practice, clear guidance, supportive spaces, and plenty of fun.

With an ivy-league education in teaching, Ana holds her classes to the highest standard and continually reviews her method to optimise for faster, smoother and more enjoyable progress.
