• Always ask for and respect consent when dancing.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time — verbally or non-verbally.
• Respect personal boundaries, space, and comfort levels.

A “no” does not require explanation.

Inclusive Behaviour

Zouk Life is an inclusive community. We do not tolerate any discrimination or harassment, including based on:

• Gender or gender identity
• Sexual orientation
• Race or ethnicity
• Age, body type, ability, or experience level

Everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected.

Safe Dancing

• Dance within your own physical limits and be mindful of your partner.
• Avoid movements that compromise safety, especially in social dance settings.
• Follow guidance from instructors and event organisers.

Hygiene & Presentation

• Maintain reasonable personal hygiene.
• Wear clean clothes appropriate for movement and shared spaces.
• Bring a towel or change of shirt if needed.

This helps keep the space comfortable for everyone.

Behaviour & Substance Use

• Excessive intoxication will not be tolerated.
• Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the event without refund.

Reporting Concerns

If you feel uncomfortable or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct:

• Speak to a Zouk Life organiser or instructor
• Or contact us privately after the event

All concerns will be taken seriously and handled respectfully.

Enforcement

Zouk Life reserves the right to:

• Refuse entry
• Remove participants
• Restrict future attendance

This may occur without refund if this Code of Conduct is breached.
